The Bank of Albania published a press release on a 9–11 April 2025 working visit by representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, aimed at sharing experience and strengthening bilateral cooperation in bank resolution. The Azerbaijani delegation, led by Anar Mukhtarov, Head of the Resolution Department, held working meetings and technical discussions with the Bank of Albania’s Resolution Department. Topics covered included the Bank of Albania’s role as resolution authority within the financial safety net, Albania’s legal and methodological resolution framework, resolution objectives and planning, measures to enhance banks’ capacity for resolution, and national and international inter-institutional cooperation in the resolution context.
