The Angola Capital Markets Commission published an update on the first session of a workshop on regulation and competition in the securities market for staff of the Competition Regulatory Authority (ARC). The session forms part of a broader effort to deepen institutional cooperation and technical knowledge sharing between the two bodies. Presentations focused on the architecture of the securities market, the economic regulation of market infrastructures and essential services, and licensing and risk-based supervision. The session also included questions and answers on practical issues linked to capital markets regulation and supervision. A second session is scheduled for July 9, 2026 and will be delivered by ARC for Capital Markets Commission staff. It will cover the promotion and protection of competition as part of the two authorities' joint work to strengthen technical capacity in economic regulation, capital markets supervision and competition matters.
