The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City announced that Clark Lauritzen, chairman and president of First National Bank of Omaha, has been elected to fill a vacant seat on the Kansas City head office Board of Directors, and that Chanda Chacón, president and chief executive officer of Children’s Nebraska, has been appointed to the Omaha Branch board to replace him. Lauritzen was elected by Group 1 banks as a Class A director to serve the unexpired portion of a three-year term ending December 31, 2026, and has served on the Omaha Branch board since 2023. Chacón was appointed by the head office board to immediately fill the unexpired portion of a three-year term ending December 31, 2028. The head office board represents the Tenth Federal Reserve District and includes directors elected by member banks and directors appointed by the Board of Governors, with responsibilities that include overseeing Reserve Bank operations and setting the discount rate subject to review and determination by the Board of Governors.
