Ukraine's National Securities and Stock Market Commission has provided an update on its consultations with business and financial-sector representatives on expanding investment opportunities and directing more private capital into the domestic economy. The discussions focused on developing transparent capital market instruments beyond domestic government bonds while ensuring market infrastructure and investor protections can support increased investment in Ukrainian companies, infrastructure, energy and reconstruction projects. The commission is working on legislative initiatives for individual investment accounts, securitization, virtual assets and digital infrastructure, including the tokenization of real assets. It also highlighted corporate and municipal bonds and investment funds as potential sources of long-term financing. The reforms would pair easier access to funding for compliant businesses with stronger disclosure, corporate governance and investor protection standards. Consultations will continue with businesses, professional associations, investors, experts and international partners to identify practical regulatory and legislative changes.
