The Japan Financial Services Agency has published an updated “Trends in High-Speed Trading Activities” report, compiling data for July–December 2025 as part of its ongoing monitoring of high-speed trading activity under Japan’s registration regime. High-speed trading in instruments such as equities is subject to a registration system introduced through amendments to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and the FSA uses the publication to support registration efforts and to understand market activity. The series has been updated since June 2021 and is now published semi-annually, having been updated quarterly through December 2023. The release includes both a PDF report and the underlying data in a downloadable file.
