The Ontario Securities Commission has charged Jimmy Delinis with fraud contrary to subsection 126.1(1)(b) of the Securities Act, alleging an investment scheme conducted through his company, Azura Futures and Currencies. The OSC alleges that between 1 October 2021 and 31 July 2024, Delinis and Azura raised almost CAD 2.9 million from 38 investors and provided investors with statements showing impressive monthly returns even though the scheme was always losing money. The charge follows an investigation by the OSC’s Criminal Investigations & Prosecutions team within its Enforcement Division. Delinis is scheduled to appear in court on 25 September 2025 at 9:00am at the West Gwillimbury Courthouse in Bradford, Ontario.
