The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has published the agenda for its 2026 Countering Financial Crime Conference, which will spotlight major international enforcement and financial crime risks relevant to the Island’s business community. The program includes a presentation by officers from the United States Treasury on an international cybercrime investigation that resulted in sanctions against members of a transnational criminal network, alongside sessions on online investment fraud, illicit finance and anti-money laundering risk assessment. Other sessions will cover the UK National Crime Agency’s Operation Atlantic on so-called pig butchering fraud, Transparency International’s work on illicit financing including the global movement of Russian wealth, and the Basel Institute on Governance’s anti-money laundering Country Lists. Representatives from HM Revenue and Customs are also expected to discuss the agency’s whistleblower reward scheme for information on serious tax evasion. The conference will also address the Isle of Man’s National Risk Assessment and preparations for the MONEYVAL mutual evaluation, with presentations to be recorded and later published on the Authority’s website.
