The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) and the Superintendence of Pensions (SP) published for consultation a joint regulation to amend the System of Consultations and Offers of Pension Amounts (SCOMP), which provides comparable information on life annuity and programmed withdrawal pension offers during the retirement process. The proposed changes implement a pension system amendment passed in March that removes external offers from SCOMP from 1 September 2025. Under the proposal, companies would be required to submit their best offers within SCOMP, eliminating pension offers made outside the system. A transition arrangement would allow insurance companies to continue including external offers in Offer Certificates issued up to 31 August 2025. Feedback can be submitted via the CMF website’s “Regulations Under Consultation” section until 27 June 2025.
