Central Bank of Bahrain Governor Khalid Humaidan participated in the opening session of the HSBC GCC Exchanges 2025 Conference in London, speaking in a fireside chat on Bahrain’s financial sector and the Central Bank’s role in developing an innovation-supportive regulatory framework. He highlighted efforts to attract foreign investment, enhance market competitiveness and support economic growth through regulatory reforms, and pointed to human capital development aligned with global standards as a pillar of long-term sector development. The conference, running from 16 to 19 June, brings together representatives from GCC exchanges alongside international officials and investors. Bahrain’s delegation included senior representatives from the Central Bank of Bahrain, Bahrain Bourse and the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, and held meetings with senior global fund and asset managers to strengthen cross-border investment relations and promote Bahrain’s capital market offerings.
