The Bermuda Ministry of Finance announced that Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt will lead a Bermuda delegation to Consensus 2026 in Miami from May 5 to 7, alongside officers from the Government of Bermuda, the Bermuda Monetary Authority, the Bermuda Business Development Agency and Bermuda-based firms. The programme is aimed at promoting Bermuda’s regulated digital asset framework through meetings and public appearances, including discussions with digital finance companies exploring licensing under the Digital Asset Business Act and with institutional operators considering Bermuda for fund domiciliation, tokenisation or stablecoin-related activity. Burt is scheduled to take part in a fireside chat with Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal on the government’s partnership with Coinbase, progress on Bermuda’s on-chain economy initiative and the “Bermuda Triangle” model of government, regulator and industry collaboration. He is also due to meet Stellar, Kraken and Franklin Templeton and to speak at a Bermuda Reception hosted by the Bermuda Business Development Agency. The ministry noted that the agency has sponsored Consensus since 2018, when Burt first announced Bermuda’s Digital Asset Business Act.
