The Argentina Securities Commission held a third meeting with leading law firms and capital market participants to discuss its proposed regulatory framework for Labor Assistance Funds under General Resolution No. 1161. The meeting continues the authority’s consultation and market outreach on employer-funded vehicles designed to meet obligations arising from the termination of employment relationships. The proposal would create a Labor Assistance Fund collective investment product regime covering publicly offered financial trusts and open-ended mutual funds under the commission’s supervision. These new vehicles would hold ring-fenced assets funded exclusively by employer contributions. The framework implements Law No. 27,802, Decree No. 408/2026 and Economy Ministry Resolution No. 1276/2026.
