The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), working with the Thai General Insurance Association, convened an industry session to explain its approach to strengthening supervision and examination of insurers under the Enterprise Risk Management and Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ERM-ORSA) framework and to collect implementation feedback. The 27 March 2025 meeting, organised by the association’s insurance company risk management club, drew more than 90 participants from the OIC and non-life insurers. It followed an earlier OIC briefing on 5 March 2025 and focused on building common technical understanding of ERM-ORSA requirements, discussing application issues encountered in practice, and gathering comments on the 2025 ERM-ORSA report template so it aligns with the ERM-ORSA notification. The discussion also linked ERM-ORSA implementation to insurers’ progress toward “Group 1” status under the new Early Warning System (EWS).
