The Central Bank of Russia has appointed Andrey Popov as Head of the Bank of Russia’s Volga-Vyatka Main Branch, effective 3 March 2026. Popov, who holds a PhD in Economics, has worked at the Central Bank of Russia for around 30 years and has served as Director of the Bank of Russia Market Services Department since 2020. With Popov moving roles, Deputy Director Pavel Levin has been appointed as Acting Director of the Market Services Department.

The Central Bank of Russia has appointed Andrey Popov as Head of the Volga-Vyatka Main Branch, effective 3 March 2026. Popov, with nearly 30 years at the bank, will be succeeded by Deputy Director Pavel Levin as Acting Director of the Market Services Department.
