The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority, in cooperation with UN Women, has completed a training program for a new group of women facilitators who received certified financial awareness trainer credentials. The facilitators will help women in rural communities understand nonbank financial products, their rights and obligations, and the importance of using licensed providers. The training equipped participants to explain financial concepts in accessible terms and connect products to women’s practical needs. It covered product features and costs, regulatory protections, and options involving microfinance, financial leasing, insurance and investment, with the aim of supporting informed financial decisions and more effective resource management.
