State Bank of Vietnam convenes first Party Committee Executive Committee meeting to finalise operating rules and establish advisory bodies

The State Bank of Vietnam held the first meeting of its Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2020–2025 term, setting up the governance and operating arrangements for the newly established Party organisation within the central bank. The meeting reviewed draft internal working regulations, a draft decision to establish Party Committee advisory and support bodies and define their functions, the Party Committee work programme, and the allocation of responsibilities among Executive Committee members. Chaired by Governor Nguyen Thi Hong in her capacity as Party Committee Secretary, the session followed the earlier announcement of decisions establishing the State Bank of Vietnam Party Committee and appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and the Inspection Commission for the 2020–2025 term. Discussion focused on clarifying functions, powers, working arrangements, and working relationships across the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, including delegations to the Standing Party Committee for routine and urgent matters to avoid operational bottlenecks during the organisational transition. Governor Nguyen Thi Hong asked the drafting team to incorporate feedback from the meeting, circulate for further comments among Executive Committee members, and complete issuance procedures so the documents can be implemented across the State Bank of Vietnam Party Committee.
