Jordan Securities Commission’s Board of Commissioners has reduced the maximum and minimum commissions that brokerage companies may charge for trading shares, and introduced limited flexibility for brokers to charge below the minimum on large transactions. The maximum commission is set at 0.004 JOD per thousand JOD and the minimum at 0.003 JOD per thousand JOD. For a single trading transaction exceeding JOD 100,000, defined as buying or selling one security in one day for one client, a broker may charge less than the minimum provided the commission is not below 0.001 JOD per thousand JOD. The changes are implemented from 3 September 2025, following a circular sent to brokerage companies on 31 August 2025 after the board meeting on 28 August 2025.
