The National Reserve Bank of Tonga has updated its register of licensed foreign exchange dealers, granting Moana Pay Limited a Type B licence for inward remittances and cancelling Frank Money Transfer’s Type A licence. Frank Money Transfer is no longer authorized to conduct foreign exchange business, while the revised register applies as of Oct. 12, 2026. The register covers Type A dealers permitted to process inward and outward remittances, Type B dealers limited to inward remittances, and a Type C dealer authorized only for foreign currency conversion. It also lists MoneyGram agents operating under Bank of the South Pacific’s banking licence. The central bank cautioned the public against using unlisted providers and asked that suspected unauthorized activity be reported.
