The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan began a study tour in Kuala Lumpur focused on Islamic finance, including regulatory approaches and broader ecosystem development. The visit is supported by the Asian Development Bank and run in partnership with the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF). The delegation includes representatives from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the State Tax Committee, and the Ministry of Justice. The programme covers the legal and regulatory framework, Shariah governance, taxation, prudential supervision, accounting standards, and liquidity management instruments.
