The Rwanda Capital Markets Authority said it participated in the 13th Building African Financial Markets Forum in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, using the event to promote regional integration, investor protection and the development of Rwanda’s capital market as a destination for domestic and international capital. The forum was held on 1 and 2 July 2026 under the theme of driving capital market growth in Africa through innovation, integration and inclusive participation. Chief Executive Officer Romeo Ngarambe joined regulators, stock exchange leaders, pension funds, brokers and development finance institutions for discussions on the future of African capital markets. The agenda focused on market liquidity, fintech and digital innovation, cross-border listings, capital flows under the African Continental Free Trade Area, environmental social and governance instruments, exchange-traded funds, real estate investment trusts and platforms to expand small and medium-sized enterprise access to finance. The forum was jointly organised by the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange and the African Securities Exchanges Association as part of ASEA’s capacity-development programme for African financial markets.
