The Central Bank of Egypt reported that its training arm, the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), graduated cohorts 32, 33, 34 and 35 of the “Future Leaders” programme, with 93 participants completing the intensive track. In remarks at the ceremony, Governor Hassan Abdalla linked the programme to the CBE’s broader human-capital agenda, including the recently launched “Bachelor of Banking Sciences” programme to be offered at a number of Faculties of Commerce from the academic year 2025/2026. EBI described “Future Leaders” as a flagship initiative launched 30 years ago and updated regularly to combine theoretical and practical modules in banking sciences, leadership and FinTech, alongside international site visits to global financial institutions. Established in 1991 by a Central Bank of Egypt decree, EBI positioned the programme as part of its ongoing efforts to develop banking-sector talent in line with international practices and standards.
