Portugal's Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (ASF) and the Macao Monetary Authority (AMCM) have launched an online training platform for insurance supervisors from Portuguese-speaking countries and regions who are members of the Association of Lusophone Insurance Supervisors (ASEL). Accessible through a website and a mobile application, the platform is designed to let members take part in training more flexibly, including when they cannot travel for in-person sessions. The platform stems from a cooperation protocol on training for ASEL technical staff that the two authorities signed in April. ASF and AMCM said the initiative supports technical capacity building for insurance supervisors in the Lusophone sphere by widening channels for professional exchange and specialist knowledge sharing, and they plan to continue working together on further technical exchange opportunities and broader cooperation in insurance and other financial sectors.
