The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan’s Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency to strengthen bilateral cooperation on financial market regulation and supervision, following a meeting in Astana between the two authorities’ leadership. The memorandum provides for information exchange on the state and development of financial markets, regulatory and supervisory standards and requirements, and innovation in this area, alongside expanded cooperation to improve mechanisms for supervising and monitoring market participants. It also covers broader collaboration on consumer and investor protection and staff professional development, including experience sharing, trainings and seminars, and joint research and knowledge exchange.
