The Maldives Monetary Authority has opened applications for scholarships for selected bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs at INCEIF University in Malaysia, covering Islamic finance and related fields including applied economics and finance. The scholarship package covers tuition and other university charges, living expenses, an annual book allowance, establishment and departure allowances, economy airfare to and from Malaysia, and visa and health insurance costs. Successful applicants must commit to work in the Maldives for five years after completing their studies. Eligibility varies by level. Bachelor's applicants must have GCE A-Level passes of at least grade C in three business-stream subjects or an accepted diploma in a relevant field, a GCE O-Level mathematics pass of at least grade B, and an International English Language Testing System score of at least 5.0. Master's applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have an International English Language Testing System score of at least 6.0 or a Test of English as a Foreign Language score of at least 550. Doctoral applicants must hold a master's degree in a relevant field. Research-track Doctor of Philosophy applicants must also submit a research proposal of up to 15 pages in Times New Roman size 12 with double spacing and show at least five years of experience in a financial institution.
