The Superintendence of the Securities Market of the Dominican Republic (SIMV) reported that nearly 3,000 people from across the country attended the second day of the third edition of Expo Mercado de Valores 2025, an event aimed at bringing the Dominican securities market closer to the public through financial and investor education. The programme, led by Superintendent Ernesto Bournigal alongside SIMV executives including Ángel Serulle, combined educational talks, expert panels and interactive activities focused on responsible investing. Sessions covered topics including an introduction to how the securities market works, personal financial planning, moving from saving to investing, digital tools for investor information, investment mindset, diversification, and the differences between trading and longer-term investment strategies; CEVALDOM’s Giannina Estrella delivered welcome remarks, and participants were reported to have travelled from multiple provinces and municipalities.
