The Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia (ISSSG) held a working visit to Vienna at the invitation of the Austrian Financial Market Supervisory Office (FMA), using an expanded workshop format to exchange supervisory approaches and international best practices and to progress bilateral supervisory cooperation. Sessions held on 24–27 March covered insurance sector reforms and related challenges, on-site inspection practices, methods for submitting and processing supervisory reports, market supervision standards and review of statements, and legislative and regulatory trends. A closing meeting on 27 March between ISSSG head Davit Onoprishvili and the head of the FMA Insurance and Pension Supervision Department discussed the cooperation process and agreed future plans.
