The Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Banks of Panama has appointed directors Felipe Echandi Lacayo and David Davarro Palacios as its president and secretary, respectively, for the term running from 16 December 2025 to 15 December 2026. The appointments were formalised through a board resolution dated 12 November 2025. The Board of Directors is the Superintendency’s highest advisory, regulatory and general policy-making body and, within the administrative sphere, can set the interpretation and scope of legal and regulatory provisions governing banking.
