The State Bank of Vietnam’s Regional Branch 13 held a conference with the Dong Thap Provincial Police and Tay Ninh Provincial Police to sign a coordination plan covering public security and order and the monetary and banking sector across the Regional Branch 13 area. The meeting reviewed banking activity in the area and took stock of recent inter-agency cooperation. Provincial police briefed participants on crime trends and emerging methods, while banking representatives set out proposed measures to strengthen coordination; 65 credit institutions in the area attended. State Bank of Vietnam Regional Branch 13 requested its regional inspectorate to work with the police economic security units in Dong Thap and Tay Ninh to develop a concrete action plan for 2026 and subsequent years, including quarterly coordination activities and annual reviews. Credit institutions were also asked to work closely with police to prevent, detect and handle legal violations, with a focus on high-tech crime, fraud and asset misappropriation, and to develop and drill contingency plans to prevent break-ins and respond to bank robbery.
