The Superintendency of Banks of Ecuador announced that, from 1 April 2025, it will accept digital and electronic document submissions 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, removing the need for in-person filing and extending access beyond office hours. Documents can be sent at any time on eligible weekdays, with a case or filing number issued during business hours (08:30 to 17:00) or on the next business day if submitted outside that window. Submissions from supervised entities and the public must be made through the authority’s digital window email channel, and each document must carry a valid electronic signature to be processed; queries, complaints, and claims are handled via a separate email channel.
