The Bank of Mongolia became a member of the Network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) on Aug. 11, 2026. Membership gives the central bank access to international practices and methodologies for managing climate-related financial risks and supporting green and sustainable finance. The Bank of Mongolia plans to use the network to strengthen sustainable finance policy, align regulation with global standards and reinforce financial stability. It also expects membership to support green investment and wider international cooperation, building on its sustainable development and green finance work since 2019.
