The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo participated in the 9th Annual Cybersecurity Workshop organised by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC, where participants discussed recent regulatory and supervisory developments on cybersecurity in the financial sector. At the event, Elvin Mala, Head of the Financial Institutions IT Systems Supervision Division, presented the main elements of the Central Bank’s Regulation on Information Systems and Cyber Risk Management, developed with IMF assistance, and outlined the Bank’s approach to strengthening its regulatory and supervisory framework in line with high standards. The workshop brought together representatives from around 90 countries and served as a platform to exchange regulatory experiences and supervisory practices, and to discuss shared challenges in improving the cyber resilience of financial institutions.
