Panama's Superintendency of the Securities Market issued a reminder that registered issuers and investment companies must pay the 2024 annual supervision fee no later than the last business day of May. The invoicing base is drawn from financial statement information reported via SERI to the Directorate of Issuers. For registered issuers, the fee is calculated on the registered securities, using the market value outstanding at the end of the fiscal period. For investment companies, the fee is calculated on the average net asset value during the year for participation units registered and sold in Panama, referencing the SI-IAS report for the immediately preceding period. Before making payment, firms must obtain prior authorisation and submit the relevant outstanding-securities form (RP-DS1 for issuers and RP-SI for investment companies), under Law 66 of 9 December 2016 and Agreement 11-2013 (Article 11).
