The Bank of Greece published its cash-basis data on the central government net borrowing requirement for January to February 2025, showing a central government cash balance surplus of EUR 836 million, up from a surplus of EUR 346 million in the same period of 2024. Over the period, ordinary budget revenue totalled EUR 11,636 million versus EUR 10,696 million a year earlier, while ordinary budget expenditure came to EUR 10,781 million compared with EUR 9,552 million in January to February 2024.

The Bank of Greece reported a central government cash balance surplus of EUR 836 million for January to February 2025, compared to EUR 346 million in the same period of 2024. Ordinary budget revenue increased to EUR 11,636 million from EUR 10,696 million, while expenditure rose to EUR 10,781 million from EUR 9,552 million year-on-year.
