Argentina Securities Commission Vice President Sonia Salvatierra used an internal audit conference to review the regulator’s continuing overhaul of Argentina’s capital markets framework. She said the program has produced more than 160 general resolutions aimed at modernizing and simplifying regulation, removing unnecessary restrictions and processes, and enabling faster market access and new instruments without weakening transparency, market integrity or investor protection. Salvatierra also emphasized the commission’s intention to keep its internal audit practices aligned with leading international standards as it adapts oversight to a more innovative and competitive market.
