The State Bank of Vietnam published an update on its participation in a nationwide conference convened by Vietnam’s Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Waste and Negative Phenomena to review anti-corruption, waste prevention and anti-negativity work during the 13th Party Congress term, and it reiterated the central bank’s own programme for preventing corruption and sector crime. The conference was held in a hybrid format across more than 4,000 sites with over 190,000 participants and was chaired by General Secretary To Lam in his capacity as head of the Steering Committee. SBV’s delegation joined online and included representatives from its Party committee leadership, the banking sector steering committee on anti-corruption and crime, SBV central departments and its inspectorate. The SBV highlighted measures already taken, including the Governor’s Directive No. 01 on the banking sector’s key tasks for the year and Decision No. 1799/QD-NHNN (15 April 2025) issuing a plan for anti-corruption, negative phenomena and banking sector crime, alongside an earlier decision to consolidate the sector steering committee (Decision No. 2166/QD-NHNN of 21 November 2023).
