After Senate approval, Brazil's President appointed Otto Eduardo Fonseca de Albuquerque Lobo as President of the Brazil Securities Commission, with the decree published on 3 June 2026. He will complete the remainder of the term through 18 July 2027. Lobo previously served as a director of the Brazil Securities Commission from January 2022 to December 2025. He has also been a full member of the National Financial System Appeals Council and has taught corporate law and capital markets at Brazilian academic institutions.
