The Bank of Italy, acting as Resolution Authority, has published the 2024 annual accounts of the National Resolution Fund, including the balance sheet, income statement, explanatory notes, statement of changes in the endowment fund and an accompanying management report. The National Resolution Fund is presented as a segregated pool of assets that is legally distinct from the Bank of Italy’s own patrimony, and the accounts are prepared using general drafting and valuation principles aligned with the Italian Civil Code. The Bank of Italy also noted that changes introduced by two 2023 measures replacing the fund’s establishing act and the rules governing the accounts postponed the publication deadline for the annual accounts to April.
