The Financial Conduct Authority and Bank of England have appointed members to a taskforce that will inform their long-term approach to harmonising transaction and post-trade reporting requirements under UK Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation, UK European Market Infrastructure Regulation and UK Securities Financing Transactions Regulation. The taskforce comprises policy, strategy and architecture working groups chaired by officials from both authorities. Members, appointed in a personal capacity, include representatives from banks, asset managers, market infrastructures, industry associations and regulatory reporting service providers. The groups will be supported by the FCA’s Transaction and Position Reporting Team and the Bank’s Financial Market Infrastructure Data Team.
