The National Bank of Ukraine has announced that modified 100 hryvnia banknotes will enter circulation from 16 June 2026. The change adds the slogan "GLORY TO UKRAINE! GLORY TO THE HEROES!" to the upper right part of the reverse, while all other design and security features remain the same as the 2014 design 100 hryvnia banknotes. From 16 June 2026, the central bank will start delivering the modified notes to Ukrainian banks, cash in transit companies and cash processing companies for general circulation. Holders of existing 100 hryvnia notes will not need to exchange them. The modified notes will circulate alongside earlier 100 hryvnia issues as legal tender and must be accepted at face value throughout Ukraine. The release completes the National Bank of Ukraine's modification of all hryvnia banknotes, a program launched in August 2024 to mark the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's independence. Modified 500 and 1,000 hryvnia notes were issued on 8 August 2024, 50 hryvnia on 23 August 2024, 20 hryvnia on 21 August 2025, and 200 hryvnia on 25 February 2026.
