The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission has received the Civil Service Commission’s Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management Silver Award, becoming the first national government agency to attain the recognition. The award follows validation of the regulator’s human resources systems across recruitment, workforce development, performance management, and employee recognition. The award grants the commission deregulated status, allowing it to establish and implement its own human resources mechanisms without prior Civil Service Commission approval. It may also approve appointments subject to post-audit. The recognition follows its achievement of PRIME-HRM Maturity Level III in 2024 and a Bronze Award in 2023.
