The Chile Financial Market Commission has published a schedule of workshops with private-sector representatives under its Capital Market Development Agenda, with the aim of producing a Policy Document on Capital Market Modernization in the first half of 2026. The schedule was presented by CMF Chairwoman Solange Berstein at the “Capital Market: Growth Engine for Chile” seminar co-organized with ICARE’s Circle of Economics and Finance. Four workshops are planned, covering corporate governance, financing for small-sized businesses, promotion of savings, and market depth and infrastructures. The CMF also reported that its earlier call for private-sector proposals (open from 17 December 2024 to 21 March 2025) received more than 200 submissions from trade organizations, financial institutions, academics, and experts, which it plans to publish on its website. The workshops are scheduled for 22 August (Corporate Governance), 29 August (Financing for Small-Sized Businesses), 5 September (Promotion of Savings), and 26 September (Market Infrastructure and Development). The CMF indicated it will issue a call to participate in the workshops in the coming days and that the policy document will feed, where applicable, into annual workplan reviews of the CMF’s General Regulation Directorates.
