The Jordan Securities Commission organised an internal awareness workshop, in cooperation with a specialised team from the National Library, on the 2025 Information and Document Indexing and Classification Regulation to support its implementation across the authority. The session focused on obligations linked to amendments to the Law on Guaranteeing the Right to Access Information, including requirements for each organisational unit to properly index and organise the information and documents it holds and to classify information that must be treated as confidential or protected under applicable legislation. Participants reviewed the regulation’s provisions on establishing an indexing and classification committee, its tasks, powers and meeting cadence, the procedures for classifying information and documents, and rules for retention and preservation, against a requirement to implement the regulation within six months of its publication in the Official Gazette.
