The Central Bank of Russia published new metrics on usage of the Faster Payments System (SBP), reporting that the number of businesses accepting SBP payments increased by 36% in 2025 to reach three million. From January to December 2025, the number of payments via SBP rose 1.4 times to exceed five billion. Transfers between individuals remained the most common transaction type, with the daily number approaching 35 million. Use of SBP for company-related transfers, including payments from insurers and brokers, also increased, with the number of such transfers up 1.2 times and their value up 1.7 times. In total, 18.3 billion SBP transactions worth RUB 103 trillion were conducted in Russia in 2025.
