Brazil Securities Commission President Otto Lobo outlined plans to move quickly toward artificial intelligence-based market supervision during a meeting of the Brazilian Association of Publicly Held Companies. The initiative advances the authority’s recent work on supervisory technology, with the commission assessing systems already operating in the United States and Europe. Lobo also discussed the Tokenization Working Group established on July 17, 2026, which is developing a regulatory framework for Brazil’s tokenized asset market. He emphasized a technology-neutral approach, under which market participants rather than the commission would determine the preferred infrastructure while the regulator would intervene where necessary to resolve regulatory issues.
