Argentina’s Superintendency of Insurance has presented two new digital tools to insurance industry chambers: a New Information Reporting Regime and a Monitoring Dashboard (SIEP), aimed at strengthening supervision and streamlining sector reporting and management. The new reporting regime modernises data management through a microservices architecture using APIs, replacing the legacy SINENSUP system after more than a decade without updates. It is designed to simplify information submissions, reduce administrative burden, and increase transparency, including by allowing insurers to access statistical data and generate their own financial statements. Supervisory coverage is also expanded to include financial, solvency, and operational data to support a more risk-based approach. The SIEP dashboard is intended to provide real-time visualisation of data submitted by insurers, giving firms access to their own reported information and the ability to benchmark against sector metrics, alongside tools intended to support risk management. Implementation of the new reporting regime is planned in four stages, including a testing period, with entry into force expected for the 2025/26 financial year.
