Discussions covered exchanging technical expertise and building cooperation mechanisms in trade finance, international payments management and correspondent banking, aimed at improving the efficiency of Iraq’s financial system and strengthening its links with the European banking sector. Both sides signalled continued coordination and consultation to support Iraq’s global financial position and foreign banking relationships in line with approved standards.
