The Central Bank of Taiwan approved Taiwan Business Bank to engage in foreign securities trading business, limited to trading that is neither an investment of proprietary funds nor conducted for hedging purposes. The authority also reported that as of end-March 2026 it had authorised 3,448 banks, comprising 3,408 domestic banks, three Mainland banks and 37 foreign banks.
