The Central Reserve Bank of Peru reported that the country’s terms of trade rose 11.2% year over year in June 2026, bringing the index to 179.7 points, based on 2007 levels. Export prices increased 26.6%, led by a 42.5% rise in copper prices and a 39.6% increase in prices for crude oil and derivatives. Import prices rose 13.9% year over year, reflecting higher prices for oil and derivatives. Compared with May, however, the terms of trade declined 1.5% as export prices fell 1.5%, while import prices were unchanged.
