The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic organised open days and delivered financial literacy lectures in Osh and nearby districts as part of Global Money Week 2026, focusing on understanding the national currency, core personal finance topics and preventing youth involvement in financial fraud. From 30 March to 3 April 2026, the Osh Regional Division hosted students and school pupils at its numismatic museum for lectures on the development stages of the national currency, its security features and savings, alongside presentations of numismatic exhibits. Guest lectures were also held for schools in Aravan, Uzgen and Kara-Suu districts, covering the same currency topics as well as loans, deposits, savings and measures aimed at preventing young people from being drawn into financial scams; total attendance across the outreach lectures was about 450 listeners.
