The National Bank of Romania will launch its second Economic@BNR study, focused on financial sustainability and Romania’s path from fiscal deficits to nominal convergence, at an event on Sept. 29, 2026. The study is intended to support debate on current vulnerabilities, future economic challenges and practical policy responses for Romania. Governor Mugur Isărescu will open the event, followed by Vice Governor Cosmin Marinescu, who initiated and coordinates the project. Policymakers, central bankers, business representatives, labor leaders and economic experts will discuss Romania’s development priorities and opportunities, with the study available electronically in Romanian and English.
