Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market (NSSMC) reported that its team participated in an International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) training focused on surveillance and on identifying signs of money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction involving crypto and virtual assets. The programme also covered international best practices in surveillance, including cooperation at national and international levels. The NSSMC noted that it has been an IOSCO member since 1996 and is working towards joining IOSCO’s Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMoU) and Extended Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (EMMoU) to strengthen supervision, expand information exchange and increase investor protection. It submitted applications to accede to the MMoU and EMMoU in May 2025, following the adoption of Law of Ukraine No. 3585-IX, which provided a legal basis for international cooperation.
